Mark Eastwood has met up with local charity SCARD (Support and Care after Road Death and Injury) to discuss road safety.
The Ossett-based charity support people all over the country who have been affected by injuries or death on the roads, and Mark met with some of their trustees and the charity's administrator to discuss how his Safety Cameras bill can mean that lives don't have to be lost or drastically impacted with serious injury or death before the roads can be made safer.
Mark said:
"Meeting the team from SCARD has really highlighted how important getting to grips with speeding on our roads really is. I'm incredibly grateful to trustees John and Anne for sharing their personal stories and we're all looking forward to getting updated speed camera guidance that will help us make our roads safer for everyone"
